I have been an Uxbridge South Ward Councillor since 2006. I have lived in Hillingdon for all of my married life and in Uxbridge South for 45 of those 47 years. My two children were born in local hospitals and educated in local schools – and one of them even went to Brunel University.
One of the reasons I like living here is because of the extensive network of footpaths and parks right on our doorstep – as well as the good public transport links. Currently I am Carers Champion and am proud to have the opportunity to help this brave and invaluable band of people on whom so many rely.
My husband, George, is the Deputy Mayor and accompanying him on official visits has brought me in touch with many of the wonderful organisations and people that help to make Hillingdon such a special place to live and work.
