Has 40 years experience of Hillingdon Council and supporting Ruislip Manor residents.
My key aims are:
Hillingdon and in particular Ruislip, remain as suburbia and don't become like an inner city location
Residents should expect the Council to deliver certain key services well
Council Tax kept as low as possible because people are better at spending their own money
Key decisions we have made have stood the test of time -
- agreeing to sell land to enable Waitrose to come to Ruislip
- delivering Ruislip High school and chairing the Governing Body for its first ten years
- transforming the Manor shops and bringing the dull and tired bridge to life
- introducing the Hillingdon First Card and in particular 30 minute free parking
- Making the Council think 'Residents First'
I, like Susan, live in the Manor so we know how to ensure it remains a good place to live.
